The capacity of the community can be measured by the quality of the resources, the
sharing of resources, and the response of the community to it's own needs.
Comprehensive economic development must include social capital and the teaching of
skills that empower individuals to assess needs and solve problems.
The strength of a community is found within individuals who are empowered.  

The Eastern Panhandle faces tremendous challenges with exploding growth and in
this time of national crisis we must work to build a stronger community.  

   
Family Resource Network of the Panhandle, Inc.

  • Working to increase community awareness of local and state issues that affect
    children and families.

  • Promoting opportunities for families and community members to impact
    decisions that effect them.

  • Focusing community actions to reduce duplicate services and fragmentation.

  • Supporting local partners and working together to maximize the effect of
    community investments.

    Families, Healthy People, Skilled Workforce and Children Ready for School.

  • Building collaborative efforts to fill-in service gaps and create better access to
    services.

  • Reflecting the belief that people are the community's most valuable resources.
